


Responsibilities of the Board
The Board of Directors is responsible for administering the assets and conducting the business of the Association. This includes setting policies, overseeing operations, and making decisions necessary to support the community.
Key responsibilities of the Board include:
- Managing and protecting the assets of the Association
- Determining, levying, and collecting assessments, dues, and other fees required to meet Association obligations
- Ensuring compliance with applicable laws, ordinances, and governing documents
- Electing Association officers and, when necessary, removing officers for cause following proper notice
- Providing oversight of Association finances, records, and operations
The Board works collectively to act in the best interests of the community and its members.
Officers of the Association
The Board elects officers who carry out the day-to-day administrative and operational functions of the Association. Officers serve at the direction of the Board and perform duties defined by the bylaws.
President
The President serves as the chief executive officer of the Association and provides overall leadership and coordination. Responsibilities include:
- Presiding over meetings of the Board and the Association
- Representing the Association in matters involving government agencies and other organizations
- Appointing committees, their chairpersons, and defining their scope and duration
- Executing contracts, reports, and official documents on behalf of the Association, unless otherwise directed
- Performing additional duties as assigned by the Board
When authorized by the Board, the President may hire employees or contractors and oversee or delegate their supervision.

Treasurer
The Treasurer is responsible for the financial management of the Association and for maintaining accurate financial records. Duties include:
- Receiving, disbursing, and accounting for all Association funds
- Maintaining required financial and tax records
- Establishing approved financial depositories
- Preparing the annual budget and providing periodic financial reports to the Board
- Reporting the Association’s financial status at least quarterly to the Board and annually to the membership
- Preparing and filing required tax returns
- Arranging for an annual independent audit of the Association’s financial records and communicating the results to members
- Keeping the Secretary informed of active and inactive membership status
In the absence of the President, the Treasurer assumes the President’s duties as required.

Secretary
The Secretary is responsible for maintaining the official records of the Association and ensuring accurate documentation. Duties include:
Maintaining current email and postal mailing lists to ensure proper member notification
Maintaining Association records as required by law and the Board
Recording minutes of Board and Association meetings and reporting them at subsequent meetings
Maintaining an accurate roster of members, including contact information and property ownership
Preparing and distributing official correspondence, notices, and election materials
